H.E.R. Performs a Powerful New “‘t Breathe” (video)

During the episode, which was filmed in Brooklyn at one of H.E.R.’s favorite recording studios while safely practicing social distancing, the singer/songwriter recognizes the people across various communities that are promoting justice, equality, peace and passion.

The song, which means something “very painful and very revealing,” came from a conversation of “what’s happening right now, what’s been happening and the change that we need to see.”  

In the episode, she mentions that “music is powerful when it comes to change and when it comes to healing.” The performance streamed on iHeartRadio’s YouTube Channel and across iHeartRadio Urban and Urban AC stations across the country at 7pm local time and benefitted Meals on Wheels and Urban League.

The eight-week series launched on Wednesday, April 29 with a special performance from Thomas Rhett, and has recently featured performances from SHAED, Brett Eldredge, Sam Smith and Katy Perry.
