Warner Music Group is fundamentally reshaping its independent distribution footprint for labels and publishers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa by merging its regional arms under the core ADA brand. This strategic consolidation delivers a unified, technology-driven partner for independent artists and rights holders seeking global scale without sacrificing local market agility. The move directly impacts how Black music and urban radio professionals can access data transparency and operational efficiency in these rapidly growing territories.
Unified Brand Identity for Regional Powerhouses
The expansion officially aligns WMG’s major regional distributors in Africa and the Middle East under the ADA umbrella, creating a cohesive identity across the entire EMEA region. Africori, the South Africa-headquartered distributor fully acquired by WMG in 2025, will be rebranded as ADA x Africori. Similarly, Qanawat Music, the Middle East and North Africa distributor acquired in 2022, will become ADA x Qanawat Music in the coming months. These rebrands signal a deliberate effort to streamline operations and establish a single, recognizable face for the independent community across diverse markets.
Howard Corner Leads New EMEA Structure
To manage this significant regional growth, Howard Corner has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of ADA, EMEA, effective immediately. Corner, who previously served as Managing Director of ADA UK since 2013, will retain his current position while expanding ADA’s regional capabilities and recruiting top executive talent. He will be responsible for establishing an EMEA-wide A&R and commercial structure to support the division’s fast-growing footprint. Corner will report to Simon Robson, President of Recorded Music, EMEA at WMG, ensuring tight alignment between regional operations and global strategy.
Revelator Technology Transforms Distribution Platform
A critical component of this expansion is the full integration of Revelator’s proprietary technology into ADA’s distribution platform. WMG acquired Revelator, a pioneering B2B music platform, earlier this year to specialize in digital distribution, rights management, royalty accounting, and real-time analytics. This infrastructure will provide ADA’s partners with next-generation data transparency and operational efficiency. By combining Revelator’s game-changing technology with the official integration of ADA x Africori and ADA x Qanawat Music, WMG is creating an unmatched, tech-driven partner for the independent community. The company intends to use this technology for all its labels and ADA, though fully integrating the system across the entire network will likely take years.
