PITTSBURGH CBS News and Stations announced today that Julie Eisenman has been named president and general manager of CBS Pittsburgh, including KDKA-TV (CBS), KDKA+ and the stations’ streaming and digital platforms.

Eisenman will succeed Chris Cotugno, who is retiring from KDKA after more than two decades and has served as the GM for almost six years. She will report to Jennifer Mitchell, president of CBS Stations and CBS News and Stations Digital and assume her new role on April 7.

Eisenman brings a strong track record of leadership, innovation and revenue growth to her new role and a deep commitment to journalistic excellence and community service.

Most recently, Eisenman was the general manager and president overseeing operations at WNEP, the ABC affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. “Julie is an outstanding leader with a proven ability to grow business, empower teams and strengthen community connections,” said Mitchell. “Her business acumen, longtime journalism and content strategy experience make her the right fit to lead CBS Pittsburgh into the future.”

“I am honored to join the well-established and respected team at CBS Pittsburgh,” said Eisenman. “As a native of western Pennsylvania, I know and understand KDKA’s storied history and deep connection with the community. I look forward to building on that legacy while expanding its content, innovation and growth across all platforms.”

In 2024 at WNEP, Eisenman led the station to record-breaking political revenue, balancing large-scale revenue opportunities with local business priorities. She is widely respected for her ability to foster accountable, collaborative cultures that drive engagement and exceptional results.

Eisenman joins CBS Pittsburgh at a time of momentum, with a focus on expanding the stations’ impact across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms. She will work closely with news, sales and community partners to ensure CBS Pittsburgh continues to serve its audiences with high-quality, trusted journalism.
