A Louisiana Teacher, Cynthia Perkins, 36, has pleaded guilty to giving her students cupcakes made from her husband’s sperm. During her plea deal Monday, the disturbed teacher admitted to many sex crimes, including child pornography, second-degree rape, and mingling of harmful substances.
In 2019, the teacher and her now ex-husband, Dennis Perkins, were arrested on more than 150 sex crime-related charges, including sexually abusing a child together.
The Louisiana teacher was also given the harmful substance charge after making cupcakes with Dennis’ sperm and giving them to students at Livingston’s Westside Junior High School, said authorities.
Cynthia had 68 other charges against her dismissed under the plea deal. She will have to testify against her ex-husband at his upcoming trial.
“She not only waived any right to appeal and attempt to avoid conviction, but she also spared the victims from reliving her horrific crimes during this particular trial,” Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said in a statement.
Authorities said Cynthia would be sentenced to 41 years in prison on Friday.
The disgraced school teacher divorced her husband amidst their arrests. She accused Dennis of manipulating her into committing the crimes.
The couple was ousted after authorities received a tip at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Investigators eventually found nude photos of the couple with the minor.
The day after her arrest, Cynthia resigned from Westside Junior High School. Dennis was fired as deputy at the Livingston Parish Sherrif’s Office.
In May, Dennis is set to face trial on 150 criminal charges.
