Kentucky State University and 4-H are offering exciting alternative camp options for students this summer.
The 4-H at home program offers online lesson plans with simple supplies and materials found at home. Students in grades three through eight can create a Google account and register for the 4-H Google classroom. The classroom is a one-stop shop with access to online resources, as well as activities and lesson plans created and developed by the Kentucky State University 4-H program.
Registered students will receive a link and weekly hand-son 4-H activities and interactive videos in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) education.
Students may also join in for live fun and hands-on activities every Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. 4-H Live is an extension of 4-H summer camp programs. The eight-day series that runs from June through July will include participating in live sessions in cooking, gardening, STEM and arts and crafts projects.
Finally, Kicking COVID-19 to the Curb Self Care Workshop for Youth offers activities and practices for students to reduce stress and maintain or enhance short- and longer-term health and wellbeing. Join the workshop for an hour of fun, key strategies to stay healthy and to replenish your physical, mental and emotional energy.
