EVE Debuts New Song at Big Brothers Big Sisters Event

Eve

WHAT: In honor of National Mentoring Month, Grammy Award winning recording artist EVE will announce her new partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the nation’s largest non-profit youth mentoring organization. As part of the exclusive “hip-hop homecoming” appearance, EVE will debut her soon-to-be released single, “Make it Out this Town.” EVE is incorporating the overcoming-the-odds anthem in her support of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ fundraising and recruitment work. Big Brothers Big Sisters provides children in single-parent homes, low-income families, or households where a parent is incarcerated or serving in the military, with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships.

Studies find the long-term mentoring model helps kids improve in school, their behavior and their self-esteem. WHO: A 5-minute presentation will include Big Brothers Big Sisters of America President & CEO Charles Pierson; Grammy award winning rapper-songwriter and actress, EVE; Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler , whose father was incarcerated when she was a teen; and two-time Super Bowl Champion and former Little Brother Darrin Smith , MBA. NOTE: B-roll of EVE with Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors and mentees, including audio of her new single, will be available.

Attendees must RSVP by noon, January 22, to Carleen@pressherepublicity.com.
