A man in Chicago approached a woman walking down the street with her 5-year-old daughter. He offered her money for the little girl.
When the mother refused, he tried to kidnap the child. This happened near the 5100 block of West Fullerton Ave .
The mother and her daughter were able to escape the dangerous situation by stopping while the man continued to walk.
The man is described as being short, 5’5, mid-twenties with red hair and a beard. Detectives offered a number to call if you recognize the suspect (312) 746-6554
