Boston-based band Final Gasp is gearing up to release their second studio album, titled New Day Symptoms, on February 27 via Relapse Records. They�ve already teased the album with the lead single, �The Apparition,� accompanied by a chilling music video directed by Caleb Gowett and Bill Politis.
Frontman Jake Murphy describes the song as a tale of survival and the harsh realities of life. �It�s about a captain and his crew on a small boat who are caught in a storm. Only the captain survives, watching his friends get swept away,� he explains. The song reflects the band�s ability to transform personal fears into anthems that speak to a wider audience.
Following their well-received debut in 2023, Mourning Moon, Final Gasp has expanded their sonic palette with New Day Symptoms.
