Rapper Takes RCA Record Deal Money to Pay Off Student Loans and Makes A Video to Let Us Know

Some things just resonate with you because you understand that the struggle is real. Today I believe most of us can identify with New Orleans rapper Dee-1. He graduated college and was teaching middle school in Baton Rouge until he signed a major label record contract with RCA Inspiration.

Instead of ballin’ out, Dee-1 took the money he earned from the contract and paid off his student loans and then wrote a song about it called “Sallie Mae Back”. The move itself was incredibly smart and to then make a song about it is even more incredible. Check out the video below.
