stephanie-and-jeffThere are more changes taking place at the Tom Joyner morning show. Correspondents Jeff Johnson and Stephanie Robinson’s segments have been cancelled and they will say goodbye on the show tomorrow. Both Johnson and Robinson won a contest after Tavis Smiley parted ways with the show to be commentators. Sources inform Radio Facts that the TJMS listeners want to hear more of Tom, Sybil and J. Anthony.

Learning of Jeff Johnson’s departure from the TJMS is a major disappointment. In a society of immediate gratification and quest for entertainment, Johnson was a welcomed reprieve because of his articulate, thought provoking perspectives. Too often we look for heroes, leaders, and resolutions from others when, in fact, each of us has the potential and capability of being and doing from within. Johnson’s delivery did what it was designed to do: incite interest, curiosity, and perhaps inspire action and positive results.
Secondly, Johnson’s segment provided balance in a show for those of us who want more than to be entertained in the early morning hours. We also want inspiration and positivity to begin our day. His departure is our loss. Godspeed, Jeff Johnson, you will be missed.

I really enjoyed both of their segments. I must’ve missed their last show when they signed off and I immediately realized they were missing. I was hoping they both had colds. I enjoyed the perspective and topics they both provided. They were never boring and their delivery never mundane. I appreciated their contribution to the show and will definitely miss it. It will seem a bit more unbalanced now. God’s blessings to them both. I’m sure Don will do well, I just have to get used to him.
