REPUBLIC RECORDS is proud to announce the hire of Ron Cerrito as Sr. Vice President / Rock Formats. This announcement arrives from Executive Vice President Charlie Walk and Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer Monte Lipman.
With over two decades of experience at the executive level, Mr. Cerrito will oversee promotions at the rock and alternative radio formats for a bevy of artists across the company’s expansive roster. Working with acts ranging from LORDE, PHANTOGRAM, OF MONSTERS AND MEN, and ST. VICENT to PEARL JAM, JAMES BLAKE, VOLBEAT, and more, he’ll construct and implement comprehensive campaigns for expanding profile of the company’s icons and raising awareness of new talent on the airwaves.
Mr. Walk comments on Mr. Cerrito’s addition. “Ron’s diverse major label and entrepreneurial experience brings us what I call the ultimate ‘intrepreneurial’ executive, which represents the spirit and tone of Republic today. He strategic savvy makes him the perfect executive to work alongside our artist and partners.”

Most recently, Mr. Cerrito served as Head of Prospect Park Recordings from April 2012 until January 2014. Prior, he was Sr. Vice President, Promotion at Warner Bros Records [August 2006-August 2011] where he proved instrumental in highly successful radio initiatives for Madonna, Metallica, Muse, Jason Derulo, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Avenged Sevenfold, The Black Keys, The White Stripes and more. He held the office of Sr. Vice President, Rock Promotion at Columbia Records [September 2003-August 2006] and Vice President, Rock Promotion at Interscope [2000-2003]. During a decade at Epic Records [1990-2000], he spent time as VP of Marketing and VP of Rock Promotion working with everyone from Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Ozzy, Oasis, Korn and Incubus. He graduated from Southern Connecticut University.
