Cory Henry’s Gospel Album CHURCH Celebrates Roots

Multi GRAMMY®-winner Cory Henry has released CHURCH, his latest solo album. Released on February 25th, the dynamic new album is the first-ever Gospel album from the acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and keyboard master, who’s created a 23-track experience that celebrates his musical roots and delivers a powerful dose of inspiration, joyful praise, and soulful reflection.

Cory – a musical prodigy who got his start at age two learning organ from his mother Marie Henry, a choir director and multi-instrumentalist – harkens back to growing up in Brooklyn, New York’s Unity Temple Church. From performing before his church congregation to his journey touring around the world for international audiences, Cory has brought his classic gospel roots and his modern sensibilities together on CHURCH.

Kee, Kim Burrell, and another special posthumous appearance, by the late Bishop Carlton Pearson on two tracks.

Cory Henry’s prolific talents can also be seen online from his recent broadcast appearances on the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, where he performed with Jon Batiste, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Ann Nesby, and his musical genius showcasing the Hammond organ on the PBS special “GOSPEL,” the latest history series from Henry Louis Gates, Jr. which digs deep into the origin story of Black spirituality through sermon and song. His most recent solo albums Something To Say, Operation Funk, and Live At The Piano were honored with 2022, 2023 and 2024 GRAMMY nominations in Progressive R&B and Alternative Jazz album categories, respectively.
