105.7 The Fan (WJZ-FM), Audacy’s sports station in Baltimore, has promoted Joe LaCroix to Brand Manager. The move gives LaCroix expanded oversight of the station’s content strategy, talent development, daily operations, and overall brand direction.
The promotion marks a full-circle moment for LaCroix, who started with the station in 2017 as a part-time board operator. He later moved into a larger production role and became Executive Producer of the Big Bad Morning Show in 2021.
Chris Kinard, Sports Format Vice President for Audacy, pointed to LaCroix’s growth inside the building as one of the reasons behind the decision.
“Joe’s dedication over the past year has been nothing short of exceptional, constantly stepping up to support the team and taking on challenges outside his comfort zone,” Kinard said. “His tireless work ethic and natural ability to bring people together made him the obvious choice for Brand Manager.”
LaCroix said the opportunity carries special meaning because of his history with the station.
“I’m excited and honored to be the next Brand Manager at 105.7 The Fan, where I began my career nearly a decade ago,” LaCroix said. “We have a special group of people here in Baltimore and I can’t wait to write the next chapter of The Fan’s history with them.”
For Audacy, the move keeps leadership close to the product. LaCroix is not coming in as an outsider trying to learn the room. He has been part of the station’s daily rhythm, the morning show operation, and the Baltimore sports radio culture that drives listener loyalty.
105.7 The Fan reaches Baltimore listeners on-air through WJZ-FM and is also available nationally through the Audacy app and website. The station remains part of Audacy Sports, the company’s sports audio division, which includes more than 40 owned-and-operated stations, 160 digital sports channels, and a podcast network with more than 600 titles.
Audacy Sports also serves as the official audio streaming partner of Major League Baseball and is the flagship home for more than 75 professional and collegiate teams.
