Nnete’s quick whit, funny and infectious personality quickly made her the voice of Houston’s legendary 97.9 The Box radio station as cohost of the Madd Hatta Morning Show, Conversations with Nnete and the H-Town Top 30 Countdown.
As a natural conversationalist she has interviewed dignitaries and celebrities such as our First Lady Michelle Obama, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Jay Z, pastor John C Maxwell and Biggest Loser Trainer Bob Harper just to name a few. Not afraid to “go there” Nnete always asks what everybody really wants to know. Her interviews have been featured in various blogs including All Hip Hop, The YBF and Necole Bitchie. Nnete served as the entertainment reporter for Houston’s TV 51 and has made appearances onBET’s Wild N Out Wednesday and The Foxxhole.
In addition to entertaining audiences at the Houston Improv, The Comedy Store, The J Spot and Ha Ha Comedy Club, Nnete is highly sought after to host major events and is the national host for the first African American to walk in space, former astronaut Dr. Bernard Harris‘s Dream Tour. For the past three years she has traveled with the Dream Tour encouraging students to pursue careers in STEM fields from Alaska to Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.
Rolling Out Magazine has named Nnete as one of the Top 25 Women in Houston and she has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumni of the University of Houston. Nnete earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
