Ja Morant’s Gun Incident Results in 25-Game Ban

In a recent statement, Ja Morant has spoken out regarding his suspension, expressing his thoughts and remorse. He stated, “I’ve had time to reflect and I realize how much hurt I’ve caused. I want to apologize to the NBA, the Grizzlies, my teammates, and the city of Memphis.”

Furthermore, Morant made a direct apology to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Grizzlies owner Robert Pera, and General Manager Zach Kleiman, acknowledging the negative impact of his actions and expressing remorse for the harm he has caused.

Additionally, he expressed regret to his young fans, recognizing the importance of setting a positive example for them.

“To the kids who look up to me, I’m sorry for failing you as a role model. I promise I’m going to be better.”

Morant also stated that during his time away, he intends to prioritize his mental well-being and work on improving his decision-making process. He emphasized his commitment to training diligently so that he can be fully prepared when his suspension comes to an end.
