Tony Ferguson Begins Term as President of Public Relations Society of America Los Angeles Chapter

Communications strategist and public relations executive Tony Ferguson has officially assumed the role of President of the Public Relations Society of America Los Angeles Chapter, effective January 1, 2026.
Ferguson brings nearly 30 years of experience across entertainment, sports, and nonprofit communications to the leadership post. His tenure begins at a moment of transition for the industry, with evolving media platforms, changing audience behavior, and increased demand for cross-sector collaboration.
Ferguson began his career at Columbia Records in New York, where he rose to Vice President of Media before expanding his work across multiple industries. As Principal of Society House, the Los Angeles-based communications firm he founded, Ferguson has led national and international campaigns for artists, brands, and organizations navigating complex media environments.
Most recently, Ferguson played a key role in the release of De La Soul’s album Cabin in the Sky, the group’s first studio project in nine years. Released November 21, the campaign received critical attention and underscored Ferguson’s reputation for guiding legacy artists through modern media landscapes.
“Throughout my career, the constant has been purposeful storytelling,” Ferguson said. “Leading PRSA LA is an opportunity to translate that experience into action by strengthening the professional community, supporting emerging talent, and ensuring the chapter reflects the diversity and creative energy of Los Angeles.”
His client portfolio includes the Los Angeles Clippers, Roc Nation, Camus Cognac, George Clinton, and a range of nonprofit organizations. His work has been featured in outlets including The New York Times, CNN, Forbes, BET, Rolling Stone, and GQ.
As President, Ferguson has outlined priorities that include expanding membership, developing programming that reflects Los Angeles’ cultural landscape, creating targeted opportunities for young professionals, and fostering stronger collaboration between entertainment and sports publicists.
Outside of his professional work, Ferguson is a certified Special Olympics coach, a board member of Just Us 4 Youth in Pomona, and an active member of the Recording Academy. He continues to mentor early-career public relations professionals while advocating for community-centered, authentic communication.
