ROKK Launches Direct Music Upload Feature for Artists

ROKK, the newly launched streaming service co-founded by Kamelot drummer Alex Landenburg and Mentalist guitarist Peter Moog, has introduced a Direct Music Upload feature that allows musicians to submit and release their music directly on the platform. This new functionality is designed to eliminate intermediaries, granting artists complete ownership of their work. The service is open to all musicians who hold the rights to their songs, including independent artists and those using aggregators not integrated with ROKK.

The Direct Music Upload feature aims to simplify the music release process for emerging artists, addressing the challenges they face in the current streaming landscape. ROKK emphasizes a model that prioritizes artist compensation, asserting that musicians can potentially earn significant revenue from their streams, equivalent to traditional music sales.

In conjunction with the launch, ROKK is offering a free trial month for new users, followed by an introductory subscription rate of €8.99 per month for the first three months, after which the standard rate of €10.99 will apply. The platform aims to build a community centered around rock and metal genres, with a commitment to fair compensation for artists. ROKK is currently available on iOS, Android, and web platforms in Europe and the UK, with plans for future expansion.
