It’s official, Clear Channel CHR “Power 96.1” WWPW Atlanta has dropped the Elvis Duran Morning show and it seems as if there will be other prominent changes that may shift the paradigm of the station.
With new Program Director, Dan Hunt running the show it seems as if the station may be acquiring more of a Rhythmic format. Atlanta has two popular Top 40 stations and three very popular Urban stations so a shift to a Rhythmic format at WWPW will fill a void in Atlanta that is wide open for possible success.
There are some rumors that Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and dj Envy with their extremely popular syndicated show “The Breakfast Club”, based at Urban “Power 105.1” WWPR New York will be heading to an Atlanta station as well but we are hearing different on our end. Time can only tell what is going to happen.
