Anirudh Ravichander Launches Albuquerque Records to Elevate

Composer Anirudh Ravichander has launched his own music label, Albuquerque Records, named after his recording studio and inspired by the television series Breaking Bad. This new venture aims to create a platform for both original soundtracks and the music of emerging independent artists.

Albuquerque Records will focus on publishing tracks from Anirudh’s film projects alongside independent releases, enhancing the diversity of the regional pop music landscape. The label intends to connect mainstream film compositions with indie music, fostering a space for a variety of musical expressions.

The label will be managed by B Kaushik, who has over 15 years of music industry experience, including a significant role at Sony Music India. Anirudh’s partnership with Kaushik is rooted in their long-standing professional relationship, dating back to the viral success of the song “Why This Kolaveri Di.”

Upcoming releases from Albuquerque Records will feature original soundtracks for several highly anticipated films, including projects starring prominent actors such as Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, and Vijay. This strategic move marks a significant step in Anirudh’s career, aiming to strengthen his influence in the music industry while supporting new talent.
