Atlantic Music Group and FADER Form 50/50 JV

Atlantic Music Group and FADER Label have announced a multi-level partnership that includes a 50/50 joint venture to sign and develop artists, full distribution and support services for FADER’s existing roster and catalog, and an expansion of FADER Distribution’s capabilities for developing artists.

FADER Label, founded in 2002 by Jon Cohen and Rob Stone out of their Cornerstone Agency, has spent over two decades building one of indie music’s most respected rosters Clairo, Slayyyter, Saul Williams, and Matt & Kim among them. The label has long operated on a model that prioritizes creative freedom and patience over formula, and this deal appears designed to preserve that identity while plugging into AMG’s global infrastructure.

Atlantic Music Group Chairman and CEO Elliot Grainge framed it plainly: “They are fearless in a business that needs more leaders brave enough to break the rules.” FADER CEO Jon Cohen said the fit was clear from the first meeting with Grainge and his team, calling out a shared commitment to putting artists first.

AMG’s current roster includes Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Charli xcx, and ROS. FADER brings the taste. Atlantic brings the reach. The structure gives both sides something the other couldn’t build alone.
