Cleveland, Ohio- November 14, 2010, Radio One Cleveland will welcome its newest addition to the team, Tara Thomas, as the Head of Marketing and Promotions! “After an exhaustive 8 month search across the country we found one of the premiere Marketing Directors who is bringing her talents to the LAND. We are excited to have Tara on the Radio One Cleveland team”, says Colby “Colb” Tyner Operations Manager.

“I worked with Radio One when the company was in a period of growth. When Colby presented me with the opportunity to join the Cleveland team 13 years later, I was interested in discovering the impact of the company’s growth. I quickly realized Radio One made the acquisition of talent a priority. This cluster is piloted by an impressive team of leaders, ripe to navigate the company toward the future of media. I am honored to be a part of this team and I look forward to leading and learning from my colleagues“, says Thomas, sharing her excitement about her move to Radio One Cleveland.

As Marketing & Promotions Manager, Tara created NTR & Digital campaigns for the cluster’s sales & programming team. She also facilitated new and existing events, concerts and expos for the Radio Station , including CBS Radio Atlanta‘s Flagship event, FSO, which attracts over 30,000 consumers annually. Tara Thomas started her career in radio in 1994 as an intern for the Frank and JeanMorning Show at Baltimore’s V103 (WXYV). A year later, she was hired as the assistant Morning Show producer. After graduating from Towson University, Thomas performed a short stint at WUST-AM, a foreign language Radio Station in Falls Church, Virginia.

In 1996, She rejoined Frank Ski as the producer of his newly-formed morning show at Baltimore’s 92Q Jams (WERQ). In 1998, the Frank Ski Morning Show moved to Atlanta‘s V-103 (WVEE) where Tara was named the Executive Producer and Entertainment Reporter. In 2003, Tara stepped away from programming to pursue a personal goal, sales and marketing. She transitioned to the sales department as the Marketing & Promotions Manager in a position created for her by CBS Radio Atlanta‘s VP & Marketing Manager, Rick Caffey.
