Rickey Smiley Show: Fake Drake Cease-and-Desist

The Rickey Smiley Morning Show discussed the cease-and-desist letter that “Fake Drake” received, said Da Brat. The imposter posted a letter on Instagram that read, “Dear Izzy Drake, this letter serves as a notice of your unauthorized use of the trademark OVO to promote your brand and likeness as well as your own authorized fabrication of media, which is Per Se damaging and defamatory to our brand. Your conducted actions are unwarranted, unwelcomed, and unacceptable.”

Izzy posted the letter with a caption: “Happy birthday to the greatest artist in history and my biggest inspiration.

I got this cease-and-desist letter from OVO a couple of days ago, and as a respectful b day gift… I changed my name from IzzyDrake to Izzyfamous…”

Da Brat wanted to know why a person would desire to live as someone else. Maria More said that she does not think the fake and real Drake have similar appearances.

She said they are both simply “light-skinned.” Da Brat agreed with More that the impersonator does not look like the real Drake. The rapper went on to say that she could understand why the real Drake was upset.

“That’s like somebody going around being the fake Ricky, and they’re getting paid to show up,” said Da Brat. Gary With Da Tea said he is tired of going places and being mistaken for Rickey Smiley.

Smiley was disturbed by Gary’s confession and said he did not believe that the two were mistaken for each other.
