Maleszewski said he is honored to be selected to serve. His three-year term begins on January 1, 2021.
 “This position offers me another way to give back to and help support the Association as it advances professionalism, accountably and integrity,” said Maleszewski, who joined FAMU in March 2019.Â
Established in October 26, 1996, the Association is a group of state, local and federal auditor generals,  Its mission is to promote “excellence in the inspector general community by establishing and encouraging adherence to quality standards, sponsoring professional development and networking opportunities, certifying individuals in IG-specific disciplines, supporting offices in governmental and external relations, and inspiring governmental entities to embrace the inspector general model as an effective tool in the fight to combat waste, fraud and abuse.”
Maleszewski has been has a longtime member of the Association, helping establish certification curriculum, serving as certified inspector General Institute Faculty, and serving on the Florida Chapter Board of Directors as treasurer for the past six years. The Florida State University graduate has worked with FAMU since March 2019.
