Brian Lambert Named EVP/Head of Film & Television Music

Evan Lamberg, President, Universal Music Publishing Group, North America today announced the promotion of Brian Lambert to Executive Vice President/Head of Film Television Music. Mr.

Lambert will report directly to Mr. Lamberg and is based in the company’s world-wide headquarters in Santa Monica, California. “Brian Lambert is one of the most prominent creative executives, and leaders, within the Film TV industry and continues to drive success for Universal Music Publishing.

He and his staff are the best in the business and this is a very well deserved promotion,” said Mr. Lamberg. “I’m proud to play such a key role in representing the greatest catalog in the business, and I’m lucky to have the best Film TV Music department around.

The synchronization business is an increasingly vital part of our revenue and we pride ourselves on bringing these opportunities to our (UMPG’s) amazing artists, writers and catalogs,” said Mr. Lambert. “I truly look forward to working closely with Evan Lamberg as we move into the next phase of UMPG.

“With 20 years in music publishing, Lambert oversees all of Universal Music Publishing Group’s U. S. synchronization business and drives revenue through creative placements of UMPG’s vast catalog in Film, TV and Advertising.

He is also very instrumental in the coordination of UMPG’s artists and writers for collaborations to create original songs for Films, TV and soundtracks. Lambert has signed key Film TV administration deals the company has completed with Warner Bros. Entertainment, DreamWorks, HBO and manages those relationships along with other major film studios.

Reporting into Lambert will be the U. S. Film TV Creative, Licensing, and Clearance teams.

Prior to joining Universal, Lambert spent a collective six years as Vice President of Advertising, Film Television Music for Zomba Music Publishing/Jive Records and BMG Music Publishing respectively.
