Upon accepting the Publir of the Year award, Sony Music Publishing President & CEO, Latin America and U.S. Latin Jorge Mejia said,Being here tonight is a result of consistently showing up. Our fantastic Latin team now on this stage consistently shows up for the songwriters we represent.
Most importantly, this honor is a direct result of you, the songwriters in the room, showing up to write songs day after day, without knowing whether they will be a hit or not, without knowing if they will connect or not, but showing up and writing anyway, because that is what you do it is what you are meant to do. We are humbled by your dedication, your trust and your confidence in us. As long as you keep showing up, so will we.
