US Marshals Recover 200 Missing Children

Nationwide Operation Conducted Over Six Weeks

In a nationwide operation conducted by the U.S. Marshals from May 20th to June 24th, 200 missing children were recovered. This operation, named “We Will Find You Too,” targeted areas with a high concentration of missing and endangered children across the entire country.

Children Rescued from Dangerous Situations

Many of the children were found in dangerous situations involving sex trafficking and child exploitation. Out of the 200 children recovered, 173 were identified as endangered runaways, 25 were considered missing, one was abducted by a family member, and one was a non-family abduction.

Youngest Recovery Was a Five-Month-Old Infant

The youngest child rescued was a five-month-old infant. Officials noted that many of the human trafficking victims had been moved across state lines before their discovery. For example, a 16-year-old female from the Phoenix area was trafficked in Los Angeles and Miami before being recovered in Michigan.

Efforts to Identify Perpetrators

The operation also aims to identify and apprehend those responsible for the abductions and trafficking of these children. The collaborative effort underscores the commitment of the U.S. Marshals to protect vulnerable children and bring perpetrators to justice.
