The Steve Harvey Morning Show discussed a woman whose husband became affectionate with her sister while drunk. The 37-year-old woman said she is the same age as her husband, and the two of them recently moved to her hometown to “be closer” to family, said Shirley Strawberry. The husband is friendly and has made a few new friends, added the host. The letter writer said she and her husband enjoy “hanging” out with her sister and brother-in-law. The woman said she does not drink, but the three do.

A childhood friend had a birthday party recently, and everyone was drunk, explained Strawberry. The woman said she also had a couple of glasses of champagne at the party. On the way back to the woman’s sister’s house, her husband had fallen asleep. They arrived at their destination, and the wife said she went inside the house for a quick trip to the restroom. The sister and brother-in-law promised to get the woman’s husband out of the car, said Strawberry. The woman said when she returned to the car, her sister was bending over her husband, and he was whispering something affectionate in her ear.

The woman tried to intervene and was stopped by her husband, who said he wanted the sister to help him out of the car and into the house because she “knows how to handle him,” informed the wife. The husband continued complimenting the sister, and the wife became uncomfortable, said Strawberry. The astonished spouse asked if alcohol was a “truth serum” or if she should let the incident “go.”

Strawberry said she was surprised that no one was physically hurt because of the incident. “This is some craziness right here,” said the radio DJ. The reason behind the man’s comments “could be a bit of both,” said Strawberry. The man was drinking, yet the wife did hear her husband’s inappropriate comments, she added.

“Yes, he was drunk, but he sounded like he knew exactly what he was saying, and he wanted your sister,” informed Strawberry.

Strawberry said that she would be mad at everyone involved, including her brother-in-law, who did nothing but laugh the situation off. The morning show host advised the group to stop drinking and hanging out with each other before “the sister and husband act on whatever these feelings were [that] they were having this night.”

Steve Harvey said the three people need to stop drinking brown liquor because it is “different.” he added, “They have got to stop drinking brown liquor because it is not working out for anybody in this group right here.”

Harvey said alcohol was a “truth serum,” and he believed that the woman’s suspicions about her husband were correct.
