The Rickey Smiley Show discussed the cause of death for Kevin Samuels. According to TMZ, Samuels’ cause of death was hypertension, a severe condition resulting from a higher-than-normal amount of blood pressure against the artery wall. The medical examiner also noted that Samuels took atenolol, a medication used to treat hypertension.

The examiner ruled out foul play and listed the cause of death as natural causes. Rickey smiley wanted to know what hypertension was; the morning show told him it was high blood pressure. Da Brat said she had never heard of the medication atenolol before.

Rickey smiley said Tom Joyner used to talk about hypertension frequently during the Tom Joyner morning show. The morning show commented on how many Red Bulls Samuels used to drink. Da Brat said she thought Samuels was engaged in a sexual act when he died.

The young lady who was with Samuels was the one that called 911, she added. The exertion and the Red Bulls probably caused Samuels’ death.
