A former radio talk show host is on trial for murder in St. Louis this week. KSDK-TV reported that jury selection started Monday in the case of 50-year-old Leonardo Drisdel, who is charged with murder and armed criminal action. Drisdel is accused of beating, slashing and biting 28-year-old Cassandra Kovack at her home in June 2005. Investigators have said Drisdel confessed to his wife that he took drugs with Kovack and attacked her because a voice ordered him to kill her. Drisdel used to host “The Human Factor” show at WGNU Radio.
UPDATE: Cassandra’s Father contacted Radio Facts to inform us there were no drugs found in his daughter’s body during the autopsy.
