KIDD KENN RELEASES OFFICIAL AUDIO + MUSIC VIDEO FOR “FREESTYLE” VIRAL COLLABO WITH DELLI BOE!

Kidd Kenn, the 17-year old Chicago hip-hop sensation selected for GLAAD’s prestigious list of “20 Under 20: Young LGBTQ People Shaping The Future of Media and Activism” (presented by Teen Vogue earlier this summer) has unleashed the official audio + music video for “Freestyle,” his viral collaboration with Delli Boe, available at all DSPs today via Island Records. First posted to Kidd Kenn’s and Delli Boe’s socials earlier this year, the original “Freestyle” tweet went viral after receiving support from City Girls, netting over 1.7 million views, 14K+ retweets, and 53K+ likes to date. “Freestyle” underscores the world-wide takeover that is building for Kidd Kenn in the wake of the non-stop string of buzzing singles he has amassed since signing with Island last year – “Bougie Fellow,” “Babysitter,” “U 2 Funny,” and “Benji.” All four are contained on his Island debut mixtape, CHILD’S PLAY, released earlier this year.

Currently a Top 10 contestant in the City Girls #PussyTalkChallenge, Kidd Kenn has also received support from Grammy®-winning artists Lizzo, Cardi B and Lil Nas X, along with Megan Thee Stallion, Queen Key, Asian Doll, Dreezy and more. The momentum has not let up since he was first brought onstage by Kehlani at the San Francisco Pride Festival in June 2018, followed by his breakout performance at the Red Bull Music Festival in November, a showcase for the best of Chicago’s queer underground. The buzz has been explosive, with PAPER, Fader, Nylon, Teen Vogue, Office Magazine, Interview Magazine, COOLS, and other tastemakers all rallying behind the young artist. Nylon called him a “rap phenom,” and Fader dubbed him “Chicago’s Next Teen Sensation.” This summer, he performed at multiple virtual Pride festivals including MobiFest, Wynwood Pride, Pride South Side and more. “Freestyle” is the first release of new music from Kidd Kenn’s forthcoming project due later this year.
