Hi everyone,
Just a reminder about the picnic this coming Sunday, October 3rd! Yes, it’s October already! With Dannie “Fut” James, Dick Griffey and Stan Bethel all passing away in the last few days, it’s a sign that we should take time to re-connect with some old friends in radio, records and retail. Please try to come out!

> Bring your picnic baskets and coolers with your own food and drink. You can bring enough to share if you’d like. This is a reserved area with 18 tables and 5 BBQ grills. You can also bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit under the trees.

> No smoking or alcohol is permitted. Pets must be on a leash and you have to pick up and dispose of their waste.

> Directions:

> 134 West: Take 5 North off 134. Exit Zoo Drive, right. Left on Zoo Drive. Go straight until you come to the Ranger Station. Make a left turn. Drive past the Ranger Station to the stop sign. Left turn. Follow the road down to the Crystal Springs Picnic Area. Bear left into the parking lot. You can park in this first lot or follow the road around to the lot on the opposite side, which is closer to Pad C.

> 134 East: Exit Victory Blvd. Make a right and then a quick left at the first stop sign. Follow the road about 4 stop signs to the Ranger Station. Make a left turn. Drive past the Ranger Station to the stop sign. Make a left turn. Follow the road down to the Crystal Springs Picnic Area. Bear left into the parking lot. You can park in this first lot or follow the road around to the lot on the opposite side.

> 5 South – Exit Los Feliz Blvd towards Hollywood. Make a right turn on Riverside Drive. It turns into Crystal Springs Drive once you enter the park. Follow the road around until you see the Ranger Station on your right. Make a right turn. Drive past the Ranger Station to the stop sign. Make a left turn. Follow the road down to the Crystal Springs Picnic Area. Bear left into the parking lot. You can park in this first lot or follow the road around to the lot on the opposite side.

> 5 North – Exit Griffith Park. Make a right at the stop sign. Follow the road to the Ranger Station on your right. Make a right turn. Drive past the Ranger Station to the stop sign. Make a left turn. Follow the road down to the Crystal Springs Picnic Area. Bear left into the parking lot. You can park in this first lot or follow the road around to the lot on the opposite side.
