72-year-old Patricia Ricks is charged with murdering her own 8-year-old granddaughter after severely beating her to death. The child was admitted to the emergency room where was pronounced dead. Ricks with the guardian for her grandaughter and 5 other children who were her siblings. The children have all been placed in state custody.
