Perhaps there is something to be said about all the layoffs in the industry… only the strong and the WISE survive… Congrats to former Atlanta Hot 107.9/Radio One host Griff on his new gig… Radio One canned Griff’s A-Team morning show and replaced it with the syndicated Rickey Smiley’s Morning show. But Griff has a new opportunity…

Auckland, NZ – Atlanta-based comedian and radio host “GRIFF” is taking his unforgettable voice to the international airways as a guest on The Edge Morning Madhouse, a syndicated morning show broadcast from Auckland, New Zealand.

After meeting “GRIFF” this summer at an international summit for popular morning show radio hosts, the Morning Madhouse team invited “GRIFF” to join them on-air and give the citizens of New Zealand a taste of Atlanta.

The Edge Morning Madhouse team consists of Jay-Jay, Mike and Dom; and the hilarious trio is known for over-the-top stunts, like most recently ‘pool crashing’ at someone’s private home. “It’s refreshing to be on-air in another country because it’s made me realize that comedy is comedy, no matter where you go,” said “GRIFF.” “This morning show team is high-energy, fun and creative and I anticipate representing Atlanta well and having a great time while I’m here.”

“GRIFF,” known for his quick wit and hard-hitting punchlines, will provide the expert yet comedic commentary on everything from American culture, to news, sports and music.
