Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS)announcesthat its Shreveport, LA, radio stations stepped up to implement a massive water and food giveaway for area residents impacted by severe storms early Friday morning, June 16th. The storms left most of the Shreveport-Bossier City area without electricity, resulting in limited availability of food due to spoilage and extreme heat conditions. By Monday, June 19th, over 100,000 people were still without power from the storm, which was described as having hurricane-level impacts, including heavy winds that snapped trees and downed power lines.
