Former Black College Presidents Come Together to Improve Education

Digital and Radio Facts: hbcu-graduationFour former Black College presidents announced the launch of TM2 Education Search, which provides retained search and leadership development services targeting Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Predominantly Black Institutions (the Black College Community).TM2 Education Search is the brainchild of former Black College presidents John Garland (former President of Central State University); Sidney Ribeau (former President of Howard University); Wayne Watson (President Emeritus Chicago State University); and Dorothy Cowser Yancy (President Emerita Johnson C. Smith University & Shaw University). The team of founding principals will leverage more than 100 years of combined leadership experience to recruit and support college presidents, chancellors, provosts, deans, and board members.”We are experiencing a critical moment in the Black College Community,” said John Garland, Executive Chairman of TM2 Education Search. “TM2 was created to ensure all schools have access to the best senior talent.”In addition to its founding principals, Christopher Braswell will serve as firm president. Mr. Braswell has over twenty years’ experience partnering with organizations in talent management, executive search, and leadership development. Previously, he was a founding partner of the firm Talent Bridge, where he managed the Retained Search Practice, Career Services Division, and Diversity Talent Practice.”Completing a successful search is only part of the job,” said Christopher Braswell, President of TM2 Education Search. “We intend to maintain long-term relationships with leaders and schools, providing the coaching necessary for successful transitions.”TM2 Education Search is former Black College Presidents/Chancellors and Alumni who are passionate and committed to the welfare of the Black College Community and the development of minority leaders. We use our combined experiences in higher education and search to partner with schools to build highly effective and functioning leadership through increasing the quality of talent acquisition and developing strategic leaders.
