Brian Moote Joins Star 94.1 in Atlanta as Afternoon Host

Comedian and radio personality Brian Moote has been named the new afternoon host for Star 94.1 (WSTR-FM) in Atlanta. He’ll take over the weekday slot from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., according to parent company Audacy.

Moote, who previously co-hosted The Bert Show on Atlanta’s Q99.7, has built a career that spans radio, television, and stand-up comedy. His past on-air work includes stints in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Dallas, along with appearances on MTV’s Money from Strangers.

The move marks a return to Atlanta radio for Moote, who has also worked in digital media for DraftKings Sports and as a correspondent for Neighborhood TV.

Audacy executives said the hire is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Star 94’s local programming lineup.

Moote’s first shows will air this month on WSTR-FM and through the Audacy streaming app.
