Beatdapp Launches Trust & Safety System for Fraud Combat

Beatdapp Unveils Trust & Safety System to Tackle Fraud Across Industries

Beatdapp Launches Comprehensive Trust & Safety Operating System

Beatdapp, a tech firm focused on fraud detection for digital platforms, is launching a new trust and safety system designed to address security issues across various sectors beyond just music streaming. This innovative platform, named the Beatdapp Trust & Safety Operating System, integrates several key functionalities such as identity verification, AI music detection, anomaly detection, account takeover detection, and a personalized recommendation engine.

Having secured $17 million in funding earlier this year, Beatdapp is now targeting gaming companies, streaming services, and online marketplaces, broadening its scope from its original emphasis on the music industry. Co-CEOs Morgan Hayduk and Andrew Batey emphasized the necessity for a unified approach to combat the persistent threats posed by fraud, bots, and malicious actors in digital interactions.

Hayduk and Batey stated, “A fragmented approach is no longer enough. We built the Trust & Safety OS to be the common denominator for integrity: a system that protects platforms and their users, from onboarding and login to consumption and payment. This is about engineering the trust that allows digital communities to thrive.” This operating system aims to safeguard both platforms and their users throughout the entire digital interaction process.

The Beatdapp OS is powered by five main features: anomaly detection to prevent fraudulent activities, customer due diligence for identity verification, AI music detection to distinguish between human-created and synthetic content, personalized recommendations, and account takeover detection.

A notable partnership with Arcarta, a UK-based firm specializing in due diligence, enhances the identity verification aspect. Arcarta’s technology, known as a “Living Record” system, creates a reusable identity layer that can be shared across platforms, enabling a seamless experience for legitimate users while maintaining stringent security.

Tom Noon and Matthew Whiteley, Co-Founders of Arcarta, noted, “Trust is built on knowing who you’re dealing with, but that process shouldn’t create friction for legitimate users. Our Due Diligence Network was purpose-built for high-touch industries where relationships are paramount.” They added that the integration of their “Living Record” technology into the Beatdapp system will fortify security while enhancing user experience.

Since its inception, Beatdapp has processed over 6 trillion streams and analyzed more than 65 trillion data points. The launch of this operating system is timely, as digital platforms are under increasing pressure to address fraud and bot activity. According to Beatdapp, streaming fraud robs artists of approximately $2 billion in royalties annually, funneling funds to owners of low-quality content aimed at exploiting streaming revenues.

Beatdapp has formed partnerships with several industry players to combat streaming fraud, including Audiomack, Tuned Global, The Mechanical Licensing Collective, Beatport, Hangout FM, Boomy, and Universal Music Group. These collaborations underscore the urgency of tackling fraudulent activities within the music industry and beyond.
