width=WUBT (The Beat’s) Curtis “Scooby” Senior this past Saturday, Feb. 18. “Scooby” was one half of “Dolewite and Scooby”, tag-teaming show who had long presided over the 7:00-10:00 P.M. shift at WUBT-FM 101.1 The Beat, Nashville’s leading R&B/Hip-Hop station; the duo were so popular, they had recently been given the coveted drivetime hours. Senior was not in Nashville this weekend, but was in fact visiting family in Detroit; Saturday afternoon, he was hospitalized for heart complications which, a few hours later, proved fatal. Senior was only 33 years old.
