Urban Radio Stations Prepared for Hurricane Sandy?

width=I talked to several Black radio programmers this morning and asked “Are stations on the east coast prepared to handle reporting and covering Hurricane Sandy? Most immediately agreed  WBLS is hands down as well as stations in the Carolina’s but they were all unsure of the other Black stations. There has been such a downplay on news people at Black radio stations, one has to wonder if they can be effective if they are used for situations like this and the audience is not familiar with them. Your thoughts?
