Multi Grammy-winner Cory Henry, new album CHURCH out now!

Multi GRAMMY®-winner Cory Henry has released CHURCH, his latest solo album. Released on February 25th, the dynamic new album is the first-ever Gospel album from the acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and keyboard master, who’s created a 23-track experience that celebrates his musical roots and delivers a powerful dose of inspiration, joyful praise, and soulful reflection.

Cory – a musical prodigy who got his start at age two learning organ from his mother Marie Henry, a choir director and multi-instrumentalist – harkens back to growing up in Brooklyn, New York’s Unity Temple Church. From performing before his church congregation to his journey touring around the world for international audiences, Cory has brought his classic gospel roots and his modern sensibilities together on CHURCH.

With a musical versatility from new singles like “Burdens Down” featuring renowned blues-rock guitarist Eric Gales, “Go to God in Prayer” featuring Dr. Janice McDonald, Cory’s Grandmother, and more, to his creative new arrangements on beloved classics like “Amazing Grace” with a very special posthumous appearance from his late mother Marie Henry, “How Great Thou Art” featuring gospel star Kierra Sheard, the record also features appearances from Raphael Saadiq, The Tone3s, Robert Randolph, Charlie Bereal, gospel legends Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, Kim Burrell, and another special posthumous appearance, by the late Bishop Carlton Pearson on two tracks.

Fans can catch Cory Henry performing live across the United States, Canada, and Europe in the spring and summer on his “Music For Yo Soul! World Tour.” On the road May 3rd through July 18th, tickets and VIP packages are available now, with stops including Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles at the historic Hollywood Bowl, Montreal, Toronto, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and France.

Cory Henry’s prolific talents can also be seen online from his recent broadcast appearances on the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, where he performed with Jon Batiste, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Ann Nesby, and his musical genius showcasing the Hammond organ on the PBS special “GOSPEL,” the latest history series from Henry Louis Gates, Jr. which digs deep into the origin story of Black spirituality through sermon and song. His most recent solo albums Something To Say, Operation Funk, and Live At The Piano were honored with 2022, 2023 and 2024 GRAMMY nominations in Progressive R&B and Alternative Jazz album categories, respectively.

Formerly a member of the multi GRAMMY-winning acclaimed jazz fusion group Snarky Puppy, Cory has made an influential and award winning mark with his talents across multiple genres, including jazz, R&B, Latin, funk, gospel and more, working with a range of artists including Rosalía (co-producer – Motomami, 2022 Album of The Year Latin GRAMMY Award winner), Kanye West (co-producer – Donda, 2022 Album of The Year GRAMMY Award nominee), Frank Ocean, Imagine Dragons, Jazmine Sullivan, among others.
