If you don’t know Troy Carter, you need to know him. This dude stays winning and now he is trying to invest in others to show them his winning ways. I’m not going to list all the things he does but trust me his resume is impeccable.

Music manager, investor and entrepreneur Troy Carter announced Atom Factory is now accepting applications for its new startup accelerator, SMASHD LABS, set to launch on September 14, 2015 in Culver City, CA. With roots in music management representing John Legend, Miguel, Meghan Trainor, and Lindsey Stirling, to name a few Atom Factory also recently launched tech and culture editorial platform Smashd.co in March 2015. Through SMASHD LABS, Atom Factory will invest $50,000 in each of the 5-7 participating companies, ultimately pairing them with brand partners and mentors to accelerate growth.

All companies must demonstrate the ability to influence and shape entertainment & culture.”The addition of SMASHD LABS to Atom Factory is part of a multi-stage plan to advance our mission of representing the convergence of tech, culture and hustle,” stated Atom Factory Founder and CEO Troy Carter. “At Atom Factory, we are known for spotting and growing talent; we are excited to identify and nurture the talent within the next wave of entrepreneurs.”The Atom Factory team, led by Troy Carter, who has 70+ personal investments in his portfolio including Uber, Spotify, Dropbox, Warby Parker and Lyft, will serve as mentors in the accelerator, being joined by leading influencers within academia, brand management, legal, communications and finance. Invited companies will spend 10 weeks co-working from Atom Factory’s offices, progressing through curriculum that spans product development, design thinking, communications planning, the art of influence, and funding. Focusing on entertainment and culture for the first cohort of participating companies, the accelerator is now accepting applications through www.smashdlabs.co until August 7, 2015.
