Universal Music Group Shareholders Approve 2024 AGM Resolutions

Universal Music Group (UMG) announced the successful outcome of its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held on May 16, 2024. All resolutions on the agenda were passed with majority votes.

Key Outcomes:

  • Shareholders approved the 2023 remuneration report and financial statements.
  • Vincent Vallejo was re-appointed as Executive Director.
  • Bill Ackman, Cathia Lawson-Hall, and others were re-appointed as Non-Executive Directors.
  • Eric Sprunk and Mandy Ginsberg were newly appointed as Non-Executive Directors.
  • The Non-Executive Directors’ Remuneration Policy and share issuance for this purpose were approved.

Dividend Update:

Shareholders also approved a final dividend of EUR 0.27 per share. Combined with the EUR 0.24 interim dividend paid in October 2023, the total dividend for the 2023 financial year reaches EUR 0.51 per share.

Dividend Payment Timeline:

  • Ex-dividend date: May 20, 2024
  • Dividend record date: May 21, 2024
  • Final dividend payment date: June 11, 2024
