Trey Songz Talks the Confederate Flag, Racism, and Music

Trey Songz stopped by Hot 97 to chop it up with Ebro and the morning team. The R&B star was in the building to discuss the reissue of his album. Trey says he was going for a new summer vibe with the album so he wanted to release it again to give his fans a different feel.

He also talks about this album being the first time he has had more Rhythmic number ones than Urban number ones and his song “Best For You” doing well in the Urban AS format. Ebro takes the conversation in a different direction to get Trey’s opinion’s on the ugliness that exists in this country. Being that he is originally from Virginia and has first hand knowledge of southern racism, Trey Songz also took the time to answer Ebro by giving his thoughts about the confederate flag, racism in general, and the terrorist attack on the South Carolina church.
