The GRAMMY® Awards are almost here, and this year’s Best New Artist nominees are making waves! Among them are Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, SOMBR, and The Marías, each bringing something unique to the music scene.
Addison Rae, nominated for Best New Artist, is celebrating the success of her debut album, Addison. She’s up for the first time, with fans eagerly awaiting her performance at the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
Alex Warren, also a first-time nominee, earned his Best New Artist nomination thanks to his album You’ll Be Alright, Kid and the smash hit “Ordinary.”
KATSEYE, another first-time nominee, is up for two awards: Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their track “Gabriela.”
Leon Thomas, a previous GRAMMY winner, has made an impressive return with six nominations this year, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year for MUTT. His hit “YES IT IS” is also up for Best R&B Song.
Lola Young has earned two GRAMMY nominations this year: Best New Artist and Best Pop Solo Performance for her song “Messy.”
Olivia Dean, with her critically acclaimed album The Art of Loving and charting singles like “Man I Need,” is also nominated for Best New Artist in her first year of eligibility.
SOMBR, who’s made a splash with his debut album I Barely Know Her, rounds out the Best New Artist nominees.
The Marías are riding high on the success of their chart-topping hit “Back to Me” and join this year’s Best New Artist nominations.
The 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be hosted by Trevor Noah and broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 1. The event will air on CBS from 8:00-11:30 PM ET, and streaming is available on Paramount+.
The day’s festivities will kick off with the GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony®, which will be streamed live from the Peacock Theater at 12:30 PM PT.
