Streaming Platforms’ New January 2026 Releases

This week’s OTT slate is packed—big titles are hitting screens across platforms. It’s a diverse mix of drama, thrillers, and romance.

January 2026 keeps delivering major premieres, and the third week is no exception, bringing exciting new releases to Indian streaming services. Leading the charge is Dhanush’s romantic drama, Tere Ishk Mein, which makes its digital debut on Netflix alongside the much-anticipated A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a prequel to Game of Thrones, available on JioHotstar.

The week also showcases high-stakes thrillers. Cheekatilo, featuring Sobhita Dhulipala, premieres on Prime Video, while Space Gen: Chandrayaan delves into the world of Indian space exploration on JioHotstar. It’s clear that streaming platforms are committed to providing a blend of regional hits and global sensations.

On January 23, Tere Ishk Mein hits Netflix, directed by Aanand L. Rai, it tells the story of Shankar, portrayed by Dhanush, who grapples with lost love and redemption after reuniting with his former partner, Mukti. The film promises an emotional journey filled with poignant moments.

Also on January 23, JioHotstar will release Mark, featuring Kiccha Sudeep as a former operative who gets pulled back into a violent world to settle an old debt. This thriller, directed by Vijay Kartikeyaa, promises intense action and a gripping narrative.

On the same day, ZEE5 will launch Sirai, a gritty crime drama that follows a boy from a marginalized background wrongfully accused of murder. The story unfolds during a high-stakes manhunt triggered by a sudden escape.

Set to stream on January 24 is Gustaakh Ishq, which paints a nostalgic picture of Old Delhi and focuses on a young poet’s struggle to keep his family’s printing press alive amidst a passionate romance.

From Apple TV+, Drops of God Season 2 will return on January 21, taking viewers on a new adventure with Camille and Issei as they explore vineyards and uncover a legendary vintage.

Additionally, Netflix will introduce several new titles, including Finding Her Edge, a romantic series about a figure skater entering a fake relationship to save her family’s rink, and Cosmic Princess Kaguya!, a musical reimagining of a classic tale. The week wraps up with It’s Not Like That on Amazon Prime Video, depicting the fallout from a misunderstood comment among friends.

This week’s offerings underline the dynamic nature of OTT platforms, showcasing a wide range of genres and storytelling styles, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
