Deezer has launched Flow Tuner, a new feature designed to give users greater control over the algorithm that curates their automated Flow playlists. This update allows listeners to deactivate specific genres and explore new ones, enhancing the personalization of their music streaming experience.
The Flow feature, a cornerstone of Deezer’s platform for over a decade, generates an endless playlist tailored to a user’s preferred tracks, artists, and genres. While users have previously been able to adjust mood and genre settings, Flow Tuner introduces a more nuanced level of customization, enabling users to directly influence the algorithm.
With Flow Tuner, users can selectively activate or deactivate musical genres and subgenres, allowing them to refine their listening experience to match their tastes. This capability not only helps in focusing on familiar genres but also encourages the exploration of new music that users may not have previously considered.
Additionally, Deezer’s built-in AI detection tool ensures that AI-generated music does not infiltrate the Flow experience. The platform also includes a Tune My Music feature, facilitating the transfer of playlists, albums, and artists from other streaming services like Spotify, making it easier for new users to migrate to Deezer.
