Kristoff St. John Found Dead in LA’s San Fernando Valley, Previously Placed under Suicide...

radiofacts.comRadio Facts: Originally posted Feb 4th 2019 – It's hard to believe it's been a little over a year sine Kristoff St. John was found dead in his home.I literally JUST saw him at Starbucks in Woodland Hills a few weeks ago and had a conversation with him. He appeared to be in good spirits and looked like the picture of health but at the end of the day, you NEVER know what people are dealing with.Kristoff St. John, star of the long-running soap opera 'Young and the Restless,' was found dead Sunday according to TMZ at his home in the San Fernando Valley section of Los Angeles, about 15 to 20 miles outside of Hollywood. Kristoff's son committed suicide in 2014 which sources say devastated the actor who has been on The Young and the Restless for years. He ended up filing a lawsuit against the mental facility where his look-a-like son died. Kristoff was under psychiatric care in 2017 for threatening suicide by shooting himself in the head. Sources state alcohol may have been involved when the actor, 52 was found dead in his San Fernando Valley home when a friend went to do a welfare check on him yesterday.radiofacts.com

American Addiction Centers Offering Free Care to Music Industry People with Limited Options

While the public often hears about famous musicians who have battled addiction, the free care will go to those in the music industry who are uninsured and can't afford treatment. "Music is an integral part of the culture of Nashville and it seemed only fitting that we should reach out to those in our own backyard who may be struggling with the disease of addiction," said Michael Cartwright, CEO of American Addiction Centers. "As one of the nation's leading treatment providers, we have seen firsthand how treatment can transform lives." Earlier this year, AAC released the results of its patient outcome studies. The studies showed that not only does treatment work to reduce substance use, but it also has significant benefits across many important areas of life, including family dynamics and mental health. AAC is also supporting the 2018 MusiCares Concert for Recovery scheduled on May 10, 2018. The concert will also help raise funds for the nonprofit to give even more musicians access to treatment.

The White Guy Asks....Why is the Black Community Fighting over Sneakers?

The White Guy Asks….Why is the Black Community Fighting over Sneakers?

...that could easily be the question white people could ask and legitimately at that. Many of us will shrug it off like it's not me or my kids but it IS our community. Sneakers? REALLY? How do we defend our community when the naysayers as in conservatives, republicans and racists use this as an example for how out of control our community is? Priorities? Do we have any?  This has got to be the most embarrassing most humiliating thing to watch for black people.  Fighting for some damn sneakers? Can you imagine if the black community fought like this for fair and equal treatment at the corporations that we work for, education, safe communities, black men taking responsibility for their children, drug and alcohol addiction, mental illness? We can only dream....in the meantime, watch the nightmare on video.
