Songs Music Publishing Links Up with Native Tongue

songs-logoSongs Music Publishing, who last week announced a multi-million dollar publishing deal with “Royal” singer/songwriter, Lorde, have joined forces with Melbourne/Auckland-based music publisher Native Tongue to administer their roster of songwriters in Australia and New Zealand.

The deal includes Songs’ roster of 350 contemporary songwriters including artists Diplo, Nelly, The Weeknd, Conor Oberst and Lorde. Songs specialises in collecting royalties not just from traditional channels like radio airplay, but streaming and internet radio services like Spotifiy and Pandora.

Songs Founder and CEO Matt Pincus said, “We are thrilled to have teamed up with them to maximize the opportunities for all of our writers in Australia and New Zealand.”

Native Tongue managing director Chris Gough said,”We are very proud to be associated with such a progressive company and to be the local representative for such an incredibly talented roster of writers and artists.”
