Due to the forecast of a major snow storm the Philly Loves Haiti Radio-thon scheduled for Saturday February 6, 2010 to benefit the American Red Cross Haiti Disaster Fund has been moved On-Line. The event is sponsored by Clear Channel Radio in Philadelphia, City Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller along with City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell, City Councilman Curtis Jones , District Attorney Seth Williams, State Representative John Myers and Pat Redmond of the Heart of Philly MCs and the Tri-State Motorcycle community. Announcers from WDAS-FM, Power 99, Radio 104.5, Q102, My106.1 and Rumba 1480-AM will go on the air to tell listeners how they get rare, autographed merchand ise from our online auction like a guitar autographed by Nick Jonas from the Jonas Brothers to the opportunity to meet and greet Steve Harvey. Red Cross volunteers will also take donations by phone and listeners can go to any of our Clear Channel websites to make to donate online. MarBar at Marathon Grill – the site of the original broadcast will donate a portion of their proceeds from their Saturday brunch at their 40th Street location between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller says, “There’s so much devaRadio Station , so much illness, so much pain that we want to help that country get back together.” We won’t expect you to come out in the snow but you can still help Haiti.
