Skip Dillard Restores Radio Station Order at WBLS

Radio Facts the leading Black industry trade got a chance to talk to Industry legend WBLS PD Skip Dillard (WBLS and WLIB) over the weekend to get an update about the floods and voting.”We were on generator power from Monday until early this Saturday morning. We’re in the same building with Hot 97 so both staff’s shared food and water. WBLS stayed on the air the entire time but our AM WLIB is still out due to our transmitters in Jersey under water for a couple days.

Tank - Black Music Month - Radio Facts

We’ve been giving out info. Where to get gas, food, even a charge for your phone. We’re just working to provide info, ease frustration, all while still working to get out the vote this Tuesday.

We’ll be offering rides to the polls for those in need as well. Have to thank our incredible staff and engineers who slept at the Radio Station and at a hotel that lost power.”
